Kylie Taylor
Born in Roma, Kylie has spent the better part of the last 10 years working in the livestock industry – from stock and station agents to vertically integrated beef supply chains right through to her recent role in an agricultural investment company.
She resigned from her finance position in Brisbane in 2021 to pursue a business opportunity with her best friend Rhiannon, whom she had met when she owned a dance studio in Mitchell over 10 years ago, where Rhiannon and her three children were enrolled as students.

About Us
Pete’s Place is a 25-Room Motel with a Restaurant – both of which are owned and operated by Rhiannon Lawson and Kylie Taylor.
These two best friends decided to leave their careers and try their hand in the hospitality industry in February of 2021, purchasing a non-operational business which had been foreclosed by the bank some years earlier.
Upon resurrecting the rooms back to life, they were approached to utilise the motel and restaurant for camp-style accommodation, after Roma’s own camp (Diamantina Village) was closed. Needless to say, the girls quickly found their place in the market. Now specialising in camp-style accommodation, Pete’s Place modify their services to accommodate the specific needs and requirements of Companies, particularly around shift work and rotational rosters
Described as having a ‘real woman’s touch’, the owners pride themselves on offering service above and beyond expectations to ensure that their guests are cared for whilst away from their own homes and families.
